Using AI to futureproof a baby’s expert view for a well loved household brand campaign.
The challenge - Our baby expert was growing up
Our expert baby, well, he was a baby, and by the time our campaign had launched was already growing, in popularity and in size. We needed to have a plan to think longer-term, which we then shot for.
Ensuring our expert talent, and his family were happy to proceed with the plan, with their approval we then began experimenting.
Pseudocrem - Embracing AI and planning for longevity
We shot our expert to future-proof his baby cuteness. Developing our stills shoot to capture a wide range of additional expressions and poses, not just for the stills campaign, but to create our expert baby likeness and impose him into a wider variety of settings and see him grow his value to the brand beyond our TVC.
Work produced for HAVAS, with Prose On Pixels and Sudocrem.
Working with Jake Smith and Paul Kinsella.
Baby-faced technology
Every expression caught on camera became the source for us to learn, develop and create from. We started with photography from the shoot:
-High in volume
-Low in quality for training
-Clean up/edit
-Selection for training

Expert testing
Experimenting with grabs from the TVC and stills to see what was possible, we trained a simple character model to guide generations. Once we achieved a good likeness, we were able to imitate babylike movements. With babylike movements achievable, we explored adding our expert to alternative environments.
