There is an estimated cost to the UK economy of £94bn as a result of 72 million work days taken off annually as a result of mental ill health.

In contending with this insight the team also uncovered it is proven that music can reduce stress and anxiety levels by 65%.

IDEA
As an agency, and driven through the ambassador team at HLG, Music Is Medicine was created as a series of musical events, in conjunction with Sofar Sounds to raise funds for Mind Charity. The objective was to support the mental health of the HLG staff, and support local musical talent too. The MIM events took place over 2019 and 2020 with a session taking place in lockdown.
